The Spreckels Organ Pavilion will once again be transformed into a magical backdrop for the 2019 Gala, Masterpiece in Morocco. Discover an oasis of culture, art and history under the canopy of a million stars of an Arabian night. Wander to a faraway oasis and rejoice in the crown jewel of San Diego, Balboa Park. Be transported to a world rich in flowing fabric, lush color, embroidered cushions & gilded tabletops. Dine, dance and delight under the lantern-lights to celebrate and support our ten beneficiaries.
This year’s major funding beneficiaries: Fleet Science Center, San Diego Junior Theatre, San Diego Museum of Art, The Old Globe, Timken Museum of Art. All ten beneficiaries also receive Bucks4Buses grants.

The inaugural Patrons of the Prado ICON Award for Arts & Culture recognizes the contributions of individual and organizational trailblazers who are dedicated to enriching and advancing the vitality and economy of the arts, science and culture of our ten Balboa Park beneficiary institutions, and the San Diego community. This honor serves to showcase the extraordinary contributions of outstanding leaders who exemplify the term iconic and have left an indelible mark for the greater cultural good of our community.
