Supporting an extraordinary collection of
arts and cultural institutions at Balboa Park—
the nation’s largest cultural urban park.
The Prado is Balboa Park’s central promenade, a crown jewel famous for its historical artisan-crafted facades, lush gardens, sparkling pools and flowing fountains. The area is alive with highly prized attractions, exhibitions and performances. The Prado is always “in season” providing a world-class cultural and educational experience for the millions of locals and visitors from around the world who frequent Balboa Park each year.
Since 1997 the Patrons of the Prado have provided over $4 million and thousands of volunteer hours to benefit the distinguished array of arts and cultural organizations that occupy the Prado in Balboa Park.
There is no better way to make an impact on a wide range of San Diego’s cultural landmarks and the health of our community’s arts, than by supporting Patrons of the Prado and our annual Gala—one of San Diego’s premier fundraising events.
